The CIECR hosts a Research Gathering at Wycliffe College in December each year. The event typically features academic and public-facing talks (clergy, lay, etc.) and features meaningful discussions of new research and findings on congregations and religious trends in Canada (and beyond). Our annual Research Gatherings are also excellent for networking, as they connect denominational staff, strategic planners, and academic researchers in a warm setting.

Some key topics regularly discussed at these events include:

• Data-Informed Trends: Exploring shifts in attendance, demographics, and active participation across congregations in Canada (and beyond).

• Practical Mission: Translating empirical data into actionable insights for local church leadership and community engagement.
