Creative Church Property Redevelopment

Churches that are redeveloped into mixed-use spaces, or go through expansions to their building, are included in this project. This project dovetails the After Church Atlas project, which documents church closure and the reuse of those worship spaces.

Overview

This project, still in its infancy, looks to explore how church buildings and properties are being expanded in their use to become creative, diverse, and interesting mixed-use spaces. Churches in this study have not been wholly transformed or closed, but additions are being made to transform these worship spaces into mixed-use spaces.
