The Regional Engagement Atlas of Churches (REACH) project
On December 11th 2025, we hosted our annual Canadian Church Research Symposium at Wycliffe College on the
University of Toronto campus. At this event, we launched our Regional Engagement Atlas of Churches (REACH) project.
About REACH
Volunteers play a vital role in shaping both the heart of their congregation and the well-being of the wider community. The Regional Engagement Atlas of Churches (REACH) project aims to better understand the role and impact of volunteers within and outside of churches across Canada.
This project is both practical and academic. It aims to encourage and equip churches to further their mission and vision while also contributing to academic literature on volunteerism, giving, and faith in Canada.
If you’d like to read more about REACH or are considering getting involved, please check out our landing page for the most up-to-date information: https://ciecr.wycliffecollege.ca/reach/
Many more CIECR projects and events are coming up soon, so please stay up to date by subscribing to our mailing list and keeping in contact with the team via our email: wycliffe.ciecr@utoronto.ca
Wishing you a happy new year (2026) from the CIECR research team.
