Liang (Lazarus) Yu
Liang Yu, who goes by the English name Lazarus, is a second-year PhD student at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto. He earned his ThM from Wycliffe College in 2025. Prior to beginning his theological studies at Wycliffe, he served as a full-time faculty member in China, first at Hubei University and later at Guangdong Union Theological Seminary. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Peking University, an MPhil from Wuhan University, and has published Chinese-language monographs, translations of English theological works, and peer-reviewed journal articles. As a scholar from China, he has been a visiting scholar at Regent College (Vancouver, Canada), Melbourne school of Theology (Melbourne, Australia), and W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research (Jerusalem, Israel). He is currently pursuing research in systematic theology under the supervision of Professor Justin Stratis. He also serves as Part-time Instructor of Mandarin Theology at Trinity Western University (Vancouver, Canada), and as an adjunct faculty at GETS Theological Seminary (Covina, California).
